FAMOUS TERRAIN

Big Bear Mountain Resort (BBMR) has pushed the progression of skiing and snowboarding for over 75 years. It featured North America’s first in-ground halfpipe at Snow Summit in the mid-80s, the world’s first terrain park at Bear Mountain in the early 90s, and hosted the inaugural Winter X Games in 1997.

Today, BBMR is still pushing limits on the slopes, with award-winning terrain parks and beginner programs, as well as Southern California’s only halfpipes, highest lift-served peak (8,805 ft), and largest learning areas.
