Mikaela Shiffrin: Ski Hearter in Every Turn

image

Mikaela Shiffrin is more than the winningest alpine skier of all time — she’s proof that passion fuels greatness. Her perspective is simple: it’s not about medals, numbers, or stats. To be good, you need skill. To be great, you need heart. Mikaela is the embodiment of what it means to Ski Hearter, showing that when you love what you do, passion carries you further than pressure ever could.

Born in Colorado, Mikaela grew up training at Ikon Pass destinations like Aspen Mountain and Copper Mountain, later adding Mammoth Mountain, Palisades Tahoe, and Killington Resort to her story. Today, she continues to define what it means to chase greatness on snow, inspiring the Ikon Pass community to ski with passion, purpose, and heart.

Mikaela’s Road to Cortina 2026

Rally with the Ikon Pass community as Mikaela pours her heart into three Olympic prequalifying World Cup races this season.

Copper Mountain, Colorado – Nov 27–30, 2025
Thanksgiving weekend delivers the Stifel Copper Cup presented by United Airlines. With men’s Super-G and Giant Slalom and women’s Giant Slalom and Slalom, it’s the first domestic World Cup stop of the season and a must-watch moment for Mikaela. Copper’s Center Village keeps the energy going with concerts, bib draws, fireworks, and more.

Mont Tremblant, Quebec – Dec 6–7, 2025
Women’s Giant Slalom returns to Tremblant with two days of high-energy racing. As Mikaela carves into her build-up for Cortina 2026, Ikon Pass holders can witness first-hand what it takes to ski with a pure, untamed heart.

St. Moritz, Switzerland – Dec 12–14, 2025
The iconic Engadin valley sets the stage for three classic women’s speed races: back-to-back Downhills followed by a Super-G. For Mikaela, St. Moritz is both a proving ground and a celebration of ski racing tradition.

As the world turns its eyes towards another year of competition at the highest levels, Mikaela shows that skiing with heart is the ultimate competitive edge.

A TRUE ICON

"I grew up skiing on mountains big and small with my family, so when I'm in the mountains, I'm home. They each play an important role in my career and hold a special place in my heart," said Mikaela Shiffrin. "I've spent more time training on snow at Ikon Pass destinations than anywhere else in the world, since first skiing the World Cup in 2010. It is a huge honor to be an owner in Alterra Mountain Company and to represent the Ikon Pass. "
